What is Coaching?

What is professional coaching?

Professional Coaching is emerging as one of the fastest growing processes for facilitating personal and professional growth and development. It is a way of interacting with people that transforms or stretches their visions, values and abilities by eliciting their greater creativity, learning and flexibility.

Coaching is a collaborative relationship between coach and client that is based on honesty, respect and the coach's unwavering belief in the client's unlimited potential.

Coaches are trained to listen, to observe and to customize their approach to individual client needs. In general, once the issue to be worked on has been clarified and the objective or goal has been identified, all the options are explored. Together the coach and client formulate a strategy to achieve the end result by developing an overall action plan. Each session focuses on the next steps for the client to take to get where they want to be.

Different coaches use a variety of different styles based upon their own strengths and life experiences and may choose to practice in one area of specialization. The most frequently consulted specialists are in the area of relationships, business, career, success, health and spirituality. Click here to find a coach who is right for you.
