Coaching Presence and Emotional Freedom

When: Tuesday, February 19, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

In this highly-experiential session, participants will connect how the nervous system and emotional intelligence support coach presence and effective action planning.

Participants will explore the brain, nervous system science, and the body as underpinnings as the underpinnings of emotional intelligence. They will learn how the relationship between coach and client, and hence the effectiveness of coaching, is impacted by the physicality, energy, and emotions that they and their client bring into a coaching session. Participants will be invited to practice some emotional freedom techniques to help them to regulate their nervous system before, during, and after a coaching session. They will experience the regulation and co-regulation benefit during this presentation. Participants will explore how a regulated nervous system generates clear thinking so that the coach and client can co-create meaningful action plans that their client consistently acts upon. They will have gained tools to self-regulate in the moment to support presence, coach presence and action planning, and for their general well being.

Note: ICF recognizes EFT as part of a certifiable coaching session.

Participants will learn:

  1. ‘In the moment’ techniques to help them retain their presence when triggered in a coaching session.
  2. Emotional Freedom Techniques for increased presence before and after a coaching session.
  3. About the relationship between presence and clarity of thought to co-create action plans that clients act on.

About Marguerite LeBlanc

Marguerite LeBlanc holds the PCC credential and has completed Levels 1 and 2 of the National EFT Training Institute. She has coached for more than 1800 hundred hours primarily in the business context. Marguerite has been consciously developing her own presence as an individual and as a coach for many years. She is now hosting workshops with Corby to support leaders to be more conscious and accountable to self and others.

About Corby Furrow

In July 2018 Corby Furrow completed her advanced accreditation as an international Emotional Freedom Techniques Practitioner. In 2016 she graduated from the Executive Coaching program at Royal Roads University. Corby coaches individuals and hosts workshops and webinars to support leaders to clear the blocks that prevent them from being the conscious accountable leaders they want to be.
