Individuals and organizations buy from coaches because they know, like and trust. There are many marketing strategies you can use to reach your target audience and connect with them, but social media is one of the best to build the know, like, and trust trifecta of success.

Social media offers excellent platforms to market your practice, build your brand, develop relationships, and be of service. It helps potential clients see you in action. It also allows your clients to get more value, and support you publicly in return.

It also can be overwhelming to figure out which ones to use and how much time you should commit to them. Learning the technical components of posting, as well as the culture of each platform, are other aspects to understand.

It’s best to create a social media strategy based on your business plan before getting into tactics. Once you have a strategic plan, it’s much easier to implement on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and other platforms.

This workshop is focused on social media strategy and how to use it to build and enhance your coaching practice.

This workshop is ideal for coaches who do have active social media accounts (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, or Instagram), but are using them infrequently and without a strategy.

Workshop Outcomes

In this workshop, we will cover

  • selecting the best social media platforms for your business and brand
  • defining your social media objectives
  • identifying social media content themes to reuse
  • creating a posting strategy (topic, frequency, media)
  • drafting a content calendar
  • finding time for engagement
  • scheduling analysis and refinement
  • ways to minimize time and effort, maximize results

At the end of the workshop, you’ll have a draft of your social media strategy and will be ready to start using it as a guide for your online activities.


Jenifer Horvath spent 20 years as a strategic marketer for companies like Playtex Inc., SAIT, EPCOR, EEDC, Make Something Edmonton, and Alberta Motor Association. In 2016, she completed her coach training with Erickson International, became an ICF member, and launched her business, HeartLifted. As a Whole Life Coach, she enjoys helping corporate and entrepreneurial women who have kids, manage overwhelm, guilt, and fears in order to achieve their goals. In an interesting career flip, her side gig now is marketing consulting, including marketing planning, social media strategy, content strategy, digital marketing and advertising. She loves lattes, sushi, yoga, her daughters, partner Chris and reading self-help books.
