Evening Workshop: Coaching with the Brain in Mind

Participants are eligible for 1.0 Continuing Coach Education Units (0.75 Core Competency and 0.25 Resource Development) from the ICF.

Join us for a facilitated discussion will review 6 findings about the brain and how we can use this information as coaches to create insights and inspire action in our clients.

Denise Burrell, co-founder of The Performance Group OE Inc. will lead this 60 minute discussion. A Cognitive Coach since 2005 and certified in Brain Based Coaching through the NeuroLeadership Institute, Denise is fascinated by how the brain works and how coaches can help get our brains working for us.

At the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Describe how questions create new neural connections more effectively and efficiently than telling
  • Explain why it’s so hard to creatively generate new ideas and perceptions and how coaches can use the brain to make it easier
  • Use “Hebb’s Law” to support a future focus and the development of new habits
  • Apply the 6 findings about the brain to your own coaching practice

Denise is a natural leader and an engaging coach, facilitator, and trainer. She is committed to enhancing the development of individuals, teams, and organizations and uses her exceptional listening, questioning, and synthesizing skills to help her clients articulate and move toward their preferred future.
